Anaheim Ducks
Last season turned out quite well for the Anaheim Ducks, even after they lost goalie Jonas Hiller, who had been outstanding, to vertigo. They got some surprisingly good play from Ray Emery down the stretch, and actually managed to finish fourth in the Western Conference, led by Hart Trophy winner Corey Perry. However, in the playoffs, not having Hiller hurt them more, and they lost to the Nashville Predators in the first round. Now, Hiller is fortunately healthy again, and he is coming off a .924 save percentage season. They also had Teemu Selanne, who scored 31 goals and 80 points last season, decide to come back for one more year. Plus, Ryan Getzlaf only played 67 games last season. Of course, Cam Fowler, who impressed as a rookie, is bound for improvement. The Ducks brought in Andrew Cogliano for offensive depth, and they didn't really lose anybody of significance.

Newport Landing Sportfishing
Join one of our open to the general public 1/2 day, 3/4 day, or longer fishing trips. Several departure times each day means that there is a trip time and length to fit almost any schedule. Whether a family or just yourself. Local trips (1/2 day trips) average 5-6 hours in length and fish areas from Long Beach to Dana Point. Catch barracuda, halibut, sand bass, calico bass, red snapper, giant yellowtail, white sea bass, and many other species. ¾ day fishing trips (7am to 5pm) fish Catalina Island and over 40 miles of coastline. Yellowtail to 40 pounds, barracuda, bonito, calico bass, sand bass, white sea bass, halibut, yellowfin tuna, and many more species are possible on these full day trips.
Newport Landing Sportfishing’s fleet has state of the art electronics, spacious indoor/outdoor seating, and full amenities including a full service snack bar/kitchen.

Snow Valley Mountain Resort
The nights are getting cooler and winter is just weeks away... Since its 1924 season inauguration, Snow Valley Mountain Resort has been the oldest continually operating ski resort in Southern California. Located in Running Springs, it is also one of the largest ski resorts in the San Bernardino National Forest. With 13 lifts and 240 acres of powdery terrain, Snow Valley has something for every level skier and boarder. It features a wide variety of skiable and rideable trails and terrain with numerous hits, spines, and tabletops.
