Members of IPEA are assisted by the IPEA Board of Directors and OCEA with regard to questions or issues that arise during employment. IPEA is one of OCEA’s affiliates, which means that this organization has an arrangement with OCEA, through which OCEA supplies representation services to IPEA. IPEA members share similar career goals with respect to professional advancement, and thus members can relate to each other’s issues. The IPEA Board of Directors works closely with OCEA during contract negotiations with the City.
