The Auditor-Controller's Office has been called Orange County’s “accountant." OCEA members there work in the following divisions: Central Operations, Satellite Accounting Operations, and Information Technology. These dedicated employees perform essential services for the taxpayers of Orange County. Each year the County of Orange receives billions of dollars in federal, state, and other county agency funds. The Auditor-Controller’s Office ensures that all of these taxpayer dollars are used effectively. By working closely with the Treasurer-Tax Collector and the County Assessor, the Auditor-Controller's Office manages the funds that make Orange County function. The staff works not only at the Auditor-Controller's central office, but also at SSA, HCA, HCS, OC Waste and Recycling, OC Public Works, John Wayne Airport, and CEO/Public Finance. From accountants and clerical staff, to supervisors and information technology staff, the Auditor-Controller's Office is as diverse as it is effective.
