OCEA’s Memorandums of Understanding with the County provide for the establishment of Caseload Management Forums, with the purpose of “reviewing current caseload management practices, identifying problem areas and exploring potential improvements.” As applied in the Social Services Agency, this has resulted in two OCEA committees, one made up of OCEA members employed in Children and Family Services, and one of members from Family Self-Sufficiency. These committees meet periodically to discuss caseload issues and problems, and then they meet with management representatives in an effort to reach agreement on improvements.
