The LMCs are made up of representatives of management and OCEA. We have about 15 LMCs, representing County Agencies and Departments. In general, the LMCs address issues that are not normally the subject of collective bargaining. The LMCs are a great way for our members to stay involved year-in and year-out. The LMCs meet monthly, or as needed. Individual employees may propose issues to be considered by their LMCs. The LMCs have been in place since 1998. Since that time, Labor Management Committees have worked together in collaborative groups to identify and resolve workplace issues. In addition, these committees have contributed to County-wide initiatives, including the PIP program and the CEO’s effort to find ways of increasing County efficiency through cost-reduction and income-generation. Examples of workplace issues which have been addressed by OCEA Labor Management Committees include parking issues, vacation scheduling, security issues, employee recognition, and payroll issues. Get involved and stay involved! Please join our effort! Contact OCEA for more information at (714) 835-3355. |
