County of Orange (and Related Agencies)

Most of OCEA’s members are employees of the County of Orange.  Thousands of County employees are OCEA members, employed in eight different County bargaining units.  They are employed in dozens of County agencies and departments, and they work in almost every significant field imaginable.

OCEA also represents employees in the Orange County Fire Authority, the Orange County Employees Retirement System (OCERS), and the Orange County Law Library.  These agencies are not a part of the County of Orange, although their governing boards include members of the Orange County Board of Supervisors, or (in the cases of OCERS and the Orange County Public Law Library) one or more persons appointed by the Board of Supervisors.
